John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Always going to be my fav. verse.
:)
While browsing through the family photo album, Lisa notices that there are no baby pictures of Maggie. Homer explains by recounting the story of Maggie’s birth. In 1993, Homer hated working at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and had a dream of working at a bowling alley. After he received a paycheck that cleared him of all his debts, he quit his job at the power plant, and went to get a job at the local bowling alley.
When Homer and Marge “snuggled” to celebrate this development, she became pregnant. Marge knew that the news would end Homer’s new lifestyle and affect his happiness, because it meant he could no longer support his family on his bowling alley salary. Marge kept her pregnancy a secret as long as she could, but Patty and Selma, eager to ruin Homer’s life, spread the news quickly around town.
Homer was not happy when he found out about Marge’s pregnancy, and was completely unenthusiastic about the impending birth. Because of the financial problems caused by the pregnancy, Homer was forced to make a sacrifice and go back to the power plant. However, Mr. Burns made Homer beg for his job back, and placed a large plaque in front of Homer’s desk reading: “Don’t forget: you’re here forever”. Homer was once again unhappy at his work, but as with all the Simpson children, when Maggie was born, Homer instantly fell in love with her. Back in the present, Bart and Lisa still do not understand what that has to do with Maggie’s photos. Homer merely mentions that they are in the place where he needs them the most. The scene then cuts to his workplace where all of the photos of Maggie are positioned on the plaque on the wall, which now reads: “Do it for her”.
THIS IS SO CUTE.
Always reblog.
THAT is called being a father.

Live A Life of Love

The Bible says,
“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, SERVE ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE.” Galatians 5: 13
and that
”For even the Son of Man DID NOT come to be served, but TO SERVE, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45
lastly God says,
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and LIVE A LIFE OF LOVE, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2.

Three verses that I read during 2011 Summer before the beginning of my Junior year.
Three verses that set my ambitious goals of this junior year: to love on others, to serve on others, and to live a life of love. To invest my time on others and lay down my own selfish desires and thoughts.
Three verses that came back to me today while I was reading my old devo notebook.
Three verses that I feel like I should write on my own tumblr so that I can go back to it in the future.
Three verses that I am going to share tonight with my brothers and sisters.
I Won’t Give Up
Third Project.
I Won’t Give Up.

(MV Jason Mraz - I won’t give up)
Nothing in our lives can nor will be easy to deal with.
Especially when it comes to love.
Whether it is towards your parents, siblings, brothers and sisters in Christ, friends, teachers, spouse, lovers, or even your enemies.
In fact, loving yourself isn’t easy either.
There will be, without a doubt, a rough patch throughout a period of time.
Nobody is perfect.
And it is not the right answer nor directions that we really need.
Rather it is patience, endurance, and perseverance.
Lord speaks through Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verse 4 to 7 about love.
It defines that
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Love IS patient and it ALWAYS perseveres.
So endure and do not give up no matter how hard it is to love your parents, siblings, brothers and sisters in Christ, friends, teachers, spouse, lovers, enemies, or yourself.

Personal note - 70% of American family are divorced, separated, and broken. And even within that 30% of not divorced, not separated families, aren’t solid, rather are broken. So much hatred, bitterness, regrets, mistakes, betrayals, and sorrow towards families whom should be loved the most. I’ve heard too much of testimonies related to these broken families this year. I pray, with all my heart, that this will be changed at least with those I know, those I care. Do not give up on them but rather love on them with patience and perseverance.
Lukewarm
First Project.
LukeWarm.

Remember.
Our Lord says
“So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” in Revelation 3 16.
and that
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ in Matthew 7 21-23.
Lukewarm.
Be Aware.

Burden
Second Project.
Burden.

What are you carrying at the moment of your life?
What are you holding onto in your journey of life?
Responsibility? Relationship? Fell out Friendship? Regrets? Mistakes you’ve made in your past? Guilt? Goal of your life? Pride?
Are you burdened?
Allow me to deliver you a simple message.
Lord tells us in Matthew 11.28
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Let Go.
Let God.
——————————————-
Dear Lord. Lift away her burden. Help her to let go but rather let you in. Give my brother your tongue and strength as he share your gospel, your grace, your mercy, and salvation you’ve given to each and every one of us. And last of all, thank you for giving us time to share your good news. Thank you for not taking her away long ago.
